The Chocolate Shoppe: Indulge in Delicious Cookies and Handmade Chocolates in Greenville, SC

This place is a piece of Heaven and then some. They are the only place that makes Old Fashioned Fudge It taste exactly what I grew up on. Even though I don't eat cookies, they will graciously greet everyone with a cookie.

Our chocolate chip cookie wedding cake from The Chocolate Shoppe was a huge hit! The team assembled it beautifully and made sure everything was just right, down to adjusting the cookie-to-filling ratio! It was such a fun and memorable (and absolutely DELICIOUS) part of the celebration, and we are so grateful that this special place, which has been dear to me since childhood, was part of our big day!

This locally owned bakery and sweet shop is a sweet dream come true! We ordered corporate Christmas gift boxes of assorted cookies and WHAT A SUCCESS! FOOD> From the moment I arrived I was greeted with the most amazing melt in your mouth sugar cookie. After ordering boxed gifts of one and two dozen assorted cookies WITH a ribbon (which was just .25 cents more) There was a "quality control" sampling of cookies which included sugar, snickerdoodle, chocolate chip, and of course a classic gingerbread cookie. As I was in line I spied a mouth watering assortment of decadent chocolate delights and even even an assortment of festive giant cookies that would even make a Grinch's heart grow Please enjoy your own virtual visit as I couldn't resist snapping several pictures of all the sweet treats. SERVICE> The precious clerk was friendly, helpful, and patient as we chose the perfect expressions of thanks for corporate gifts. The beautifully boxed cookies were ready exactly when promised (after 9 in the morning). QUALITY> I have already received feedback on the cookies and it is a resoundingly positive response that they were fresh and delicious! The gifts not only tasted beautiful, they looked lovely also! VALUE> For a locally made gift, any special occasion, or even just a sweet tooth moment this is DEFINITELY my go to for the freshest and most beautifully made sweets for those I wish to show my love to! LOCATION> Centrally located mid town across from Bob Jones University. From downtown take Wade Hampton or 385 exit Pleasantburg North. From the Eastside you have both Pelham Road or East North Street as options. PARKING> Ample parking right at the door with handicapped spaces available as well. There is a covered entrance for convenience.

One of the Greenville Facebook groups posted a question of who had the best chocolate chip cookies in the area. Several members said it was The Chocolate Shoppe so I had to give it a try. I was given a cookie to sample upon entry. Yes, it is one of the best chocolate chip cookies I’ve ever had. Except for my mother’s, but she’s 1200 miles away. There were also cookie was gooey, yummy, melt in your mouth sweetness. I they had a special, buy one get one free, so I purchased 12 for $8.75. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. It was great to see that several customers were patronizing this local gem. Please show your support & visit this small, locally owned business. You won’t be disappointed.

My family has been getting cookies and cookie cakes from this establishment for decades and they never disappoint. They have the best chocolate chip cookies I have ever had and it’s not even our favorite cookie they offer. That would be the butter cookie, it is simply scrumptious and is my favorite cookie I have ever had. Pictured is a festive Halloween butter cookie cake we had this weekend after the Clemson game. Our family loved this sweet delight after an exciting day in Death Valley. I would highly recommend anything offered. This local staple always delivers a great experience.

So niceee, when I walked in. I was immediately greeted with a free chocolate chip cookie, it threw me off cause I wasn’t expecting it. They taste wayyy better the crumbl or insomnia cookies in my opinion and priced %100 better. Definitely gonna go back!

I'd like to give this place five stars because it's a great place to shop for chocolate confections. I'm not sure if there's any other place like it because I don't actually go look for any others over the decades of coming here. The staff is always highly attentive and friendly. The remodel looks fantastic. That being said, I can't stand to shop here once there's a few customers in the store. I don't always know what I want so I need to look around but it's hard to do that when you have half a dozen people (today it was like a dozen) standing in the way. And I swear in less than one min 30 seconds I was asked no less than 3 times if I've been helped. Do you know how annoying that is? I understand you want to service customers (not to leave anyone unattended to)and get them out but I always feel rushed. I wish there was a clearly marked area to check out as well. Maybe I can wear a sign that says thanks for asking but I'm still looking. Five stars in my heart though.
